iCon
New York | Producer

iCon charts Janda’s survival from alcoholism, being gay before Glee, and even working in politics unpaid. Okay, fine, volunteering in politics. The hour of standup comedy follows his quest to become an important New York Gay, one whose takes on global affairs are taken as seriously as his thirst traps. An important New York Gay, one who is as likely to be spotted doing poppers on the Fire Island dunes in his underwear as he is to be reading a book in Central Park (okay, holding a book). An important New York Gay, one who is running HR at a tech company by day and is absolutely obliterated at Animal (where is that and why and how) by night. An important New York Gay, an iCon, even.

Written and performed by Conor Janda, iCon was performed at Club Cumming to sold out audiences in 2023
